If you are a human being on planet earth right now, chances are you’re feeling a little stressed. Ok, maybe a lot stressed. The truth is, that over the past several months with everything we’ve been facing, we’ve all experienced trauma to a lesser or greater extent.
Unmitigated stress can cause a whole host of physical, mental and emotional problems – from increased risk of illness and disease, lack of sleep, feelings of hopelessness, as well as causing us to miss out on all the good stuff life has to offer. As a coach, I do what I do because I want to help those I reach live their best lives possible.
I can’t solve all the problems we are facing right now, but I can use the knowledge I have to share some simple stress relieving practices you can enjoy anytime you need them, anywhere you are! On Saturday November 14th I’ll be offering a FREE class on Facebook Live at 10am Pacific Time. Simple stretches and postures that encourage relaxation. These will help us prepare our bodies to settle into a more restful state.
Three breathing techniques you can practice anytime you need to de-stress. The way you breathe affects your nervous system and how you react to stressful situations. We will practice several ways to use breath to encourage a sense of “down-regulation”.
A meditation style you can use to create a feeling of calm, and even use before bed to help you fall asleep.
